Product & Ordering

NZ Stocked means that this is a style we aim to keep available in our Penrose warehouse. These styles can sell out suddenly if a large order pops up, and if this happens the stock levels will be updated on our website accordingly. We will try to have new stock

"Indent" refers to a special-order style that we bring in by request. Offering indent orders allows us to provide the very wide selection of styles and variations we have available for our customers. Many of these products will be manufactured to order. There is a lead time involved with Indent orders which can vary, but as a rule of thumb you can allow for about 12-14 weeks for manufacturing and shipping. In many cases we can speed up arrivals by bringing these in via airfreight – contact our team for more information.

We are a hard-working small team, and we can often dispatch your order (or have it ready to collect) within the following day or two. Sometimes we do have many orders to ship at the same time, so please allow for 7 working days for dispatch.

From there, delivery times are in the hands of the couriers. We will provide you with the tracking information you need to stay informed.

If you are collecting your order from our Epsom showroom, we do need a little time to bring it in from our warehouse in Penrose.

If you would like to order online through our website, then yes.

If you would prefer to pay a 70% deposit, please reach out to us directly and we can arrange this with you. The balance is payable upon arrival of the order to our warehouse, prior to dispatch.

We source styles from around the world, including China, India, Egypt, the USA, and here in New Zealand. Our team are always looking for the next show-stopping piece to add to our range.

We have a simply huge range available from our trusted manufacturers and suppliers, and we can also custom design and make to order. If what you are looking for isn’t in our current range online, the chances are still high that we can source it for you.

Send through your images/descriptions/drawings/mood boards/bright ideas to our team – we love a bit sourcing sleuthing!

We strive to provide our quality products at a fair and competitive price. Head over to our Clearance and Sales page for some great deals. If you are in the building/design/specification industry, then please complete our trade registration form.

Installation

You will need a registered electrician to install your lighting. If you don’t have an electrician, we can recommend one.
Some styles, like crystal chandeliers, may need crystals or decorative parts to be attached after the fittings have been installed. We can offer installation assistance to help with this.

Some styles, like crystal chandeliers, may need crystals to be attached after the fittings have been installed. For large or heavy pieces this is very common, as the fitting would be too heavy to be handled safely during installation otherwise. It also protects the parts from damage during installation and/or transport.

Installation assistance is charged at an hourly rate including travel. You must make sure there is safe access organised in advance for our technician, which may mean scaffolding in certain situations.

Yes, you can! Many lighting options work well with sloped or gable ceilings — here’s what to consider:

Cable or Chain Suspensions: These are ideal for sloped ceilings. Because they hang freely, they naturally adjust to the ceiling angle without extra modification.

Fixed Pole Suspensions: These need a bit more planning. Since the pole is rigid, it won’t hang straight on a sloped surface. To fix this, your builder can create a wedge-shaped mounting block to level the ceiling plate (this will need to match the angle of your particular ceiling).

Customisation Options: Love the look of a fixed-pole light? Ask us about customising it — you may be able to swap the pole for a cable or chain.

Installing at the Apex: Want to hang your light at the peak of a gable ceiling? You’ll need a mounting block to provide a flat surface for the ceiling plate, which a builder can usually sort for you (this will need to match the angles of your particular ceiling).

Still unsure? We’re happy to help you find the perfect solution for your space

If you have a high or double-height ceiling, you’ve got some stunning lighting options!

Most of our pendants and chandeliers come with a standard cable length of 1000-1500mm, though this can vary by style.

If you need a longer drop:

We can often organise a longer suspension to suit your space.

For some styles, this can be custom fabricated by the manufacturer when you place your order.

For designs stocked in New Zealand, we may be able to supply extended cables locally. Every space is different, so the best next step is to get in touch with us. We’ll help you find a solution that fits your ceiling height and lighting vision.

Consultation

You don’t have to, however sending through plans, photos, or images that you find inspiring ahead of time is really useful for our team members to assist you best.

We will have a chat with you about your project - your style, what each space needs to achieve, your likes/dislikes, what else is happening in the room, timelines, budget, nice-to-haves etc. As we walk through each space, we’ll take photos (with your permission), relevant measurements, and notes.

Once completed, we’ll head back to our desks to put together a proposal and/or quote for you, ready for the next step - making decisions!

Yes! Either send us an email or give us a call, we would love to help. We can work by email and phone or even arrange a video call. Remember, the more details you can provide us with about your project the better we can assist.

Custom & Bespoke

Possibly! However, often our manufacturers will need a minimum order quantity to fabricate a new style. This can vary, so reach out to us if you do have a dream piece to make reality.

Absolutely. Our in-house spatial designer can work to your brief to create completely original bespoke fittings. Head over to our Custom & Bespoke page for more details.

Keep in mind that both fabricators and materials do have certain constraints, minimum order quantities may apply (depending on the product), and make sure to allow plenty of time for concept design and refinement as well as fabrication.
